Details
FMD Stars submit an application, profile photo, service skills, experience, service areas, emergency contact details, banking information, and required verification documents. Admins review the application before the account can be approved.
The required FMD Star documents include South African ID or passport, proof of residence, profile photo, bank account confirmation, emergency contact details, and written background-check consent. Extra documents such as driver licence, references, or lease confirmation may be requested where relevant.
The platform asks for written consent before criminal or background checks. Consent timestamp, IP address, and consent version are recorded. Customers never see criminal-check details; they only see public verified status where the FMD Star is approved.
Customers must provide accurate service addresses, safe access instructions, correct contact details, and respectful working conditions. High-risk services can require stronger customer verification before payment.
FMD Stars can review safe customer summaries before accepting jobs, receive full address details only according to platform rules, use support channels, and submit safety reports if a booking, location, or customer behaviour feels unsafe.
Disputes can be raised through the platform. Admins may review booking status history, chat records, proof photos, payment logs, safety reports, and support notes before taking action. Emergency concerns are routed to admin attention for urgent review.
Phone numbers, email addresses, ID or passport documents, banking details, private chats, exact live locations, and private customer information are not shown publicly. Sensitive documents stay in private storage and access is restricted by role.
FMD Workers is preparing and maintaining compliance with South Africa POPIA principles by limiting collection, explaining why data is needed, restricting access, protecting documents, keeping audit logs, and allowing data requests where legally allowed.
