Customer Service Agreement
Customer responsibilities, payment obligations, safety rules, and booking conduct.
FMD Workers operates a South African domestic services marketplace that connects customers with independent service providers known as FMD Stars. The platform is designed for protected bookings, role-based administration, secure payment records, verification workflows, dispute handling, safety reporting, and POPIA-aware privacy practices.
This page is maintained through the FMD Workers admin panel. It should be reviewed by the platform owner and a qualified South African legal adviser before public launch, especially where company registration details, Information Officer details, tax treatment, insurance arrangements, dispute procedures, or payment settlement rules change.
Customer responsibilities
Customers must provide accurate names, phone numbers, addresses, service details, safety information, and access instructions. High-risk services may require stronger verification, emergency contact details, or admin review before payment.
Safe working environment
Customers must provide a respectful and safe environment for FMD Stars. Abuse, harassment, threats, unsafe premises, fake addresses, or attempts to bypass platform protections may result in restriction, suspension, cancellation, or safety investigation.
Payment and booking protection
Customers should pay through the platform checkout. The platform may check worker availability and create temporary holds before payment. If no verified FMD Star is available, payment should be blocked unless an admin-approved manual assignment flow is enabled.
Completion and reviews
After work is completed, customers may confirm completion and leave an honest review. Reviews should be based on real platform bookings and must not contain abusive, false, private, or unlawful content.
Privacy and documents
Customer verification documents, emergency contacts, and sensitive details are not shown publicly and should only be visible to authorised admins or limited safety summaries where platform rules allow.
