Privacy preparation

No legal certification claim

This page explains practical privacy controls and request channels. It does not claim FMD Workers is certified or approved by the Information Regulator.

Personal information

What FMD Workers collects and why

Need-to-know access

Customer account data

Name, email address, phone number, service address, booking details, payment references, support messages, reviews, and dispute information are used to create accounts, manage bookings, process payments, provide support, and protect the platform.

FMD Star verification data

FMD Stars provide identity details, proof of residence, profile photo, skills, service areas, emergency contact, bank details, background-check consent, and document uploads so the platform can review applications and manage verified service delivery.

Payment and operations data

Paystack references, payout records, commission records, booking status history, notifications, audit logs, and support activity help FMD Workers reconcile payments, prevent fraud, and resolve disputes.

Protection principles

How data is protected

FMD Workers uses role-based admin access, private document storage, audit logs, secure password hashing, CSRF protection, validation, restricted dashboard routes, and privacy-focused public profiles.

Customers never see FMD Star private documents, banking details, ID/passport numbers, or background-check details.

Sensitive files are kept outside public storage and served only through authorized admin controls.

Public FMD Star profiles show trust-building details without exposing private contact information.

Sensitive admin actions are logged for accountability and internal review.

Your privacy rights

Access, correction, deletion, and complaints

Users may request access to their personal information, ask for incorrect data to be corrected, request deletion where legally allowed, close an account, or submit a privacy complaint.

Some records may need to be retained for legal, payment, fraud-prevention, dispute, tax, or platform safety reasons. FMD Workers will review each request before taking action.
