FMD Star Independent Provider Agreement
Terms for independent service providers using the FMD Workers platform.
FMD Workers operates a South African domestic services marketplace that connects customers with independent service providers known as FMD Stars. The platform is designed for protected bookings, role-based administration, secure payment records, verification workflows, dispute handling, safety reporting, and POPIA-aware privacy practices.
This page is maintained through the FMD Workers admin panel. It should be reviewed by the platform owner and a qualified South African legal adviser before public launch, especially where company registration details, Information Officer details, tax treatment, insurance arrangements, dispute procedures, or payment settlement rules change.
Independent provider status
FMD Stars are independent service providers using the platform to receive eligible job offers. Approval does not make an FMD Star an employee unless a separate legal agreement later says otherwise.
Verification requirements
FMD Stars must submit required documents, profile details, banking details, service skills, experience, emergency contact, and background check consent where required. No account should be activated without admin approval and proper documentation.
Job conduct
FMD Stars must accept only jobs they can perform, follow status updates, communicate respectfully, protect customer privacy, avoid off-platform payment arrangements, report safety concerns, and complete work professionally.
Payments and payouts
Earnings, commissions, payout status, and payment references are recorded by the platform. Payouts may depend on customer confirmation, dispute status, platform rules, Paystack-supported flows, and admin finance review.
Suspension and removal
FMD Workers may suspend, reject, or restrict FMD Stars for failed checks, unsafe conduct, fraud signals, poor service, document issues, repeated cancellations, policy breaches, or legal/safety concerns.
